How To Dispose of the Compostable Pouch

(If you're short on time, read only what's in bold)

If you’ve been with us for a while you might remember that the pouches that hold your Nespresso®* compatible coffee pods used to be labelled as compostable. Recently, that supplier has gone out of business so we’ve had to scramble to find a replacement.

Unfortunately these new suppliers are unable to print on these pouches for now - but eventually we'll be back to being labelled compostable, and clear as day!

So, we’re just here to let you know that YES - these pouches are compostable! They can either be disposed of in your home compost, in your green waste bin if your council has an industrial composting facility, or in your regular waste where it will go to landfill. 

WHY ARE THESE POUCHES NECESSARY?

They allow the coffee pods to remain fresh & delicious, and extend their life span, producing less overall wastage long term (yay for Mother Earth!). Without the pouch, the life span of the pods would be around 4 weeks, whereas with the pouch they would last around 2 years (the 4 week mark out of the pouch is when the coffee grinds begin to oxidise, making the coffee taste bitter).
