How to Get the Best First Brew Out of Your New Machine

• Your new Nespresso®* Essenza Mini machine and milk frother

• 1 x Intensity 14 plant-based pod

• 150ml of full-cream milk, or your go-to plant milk

STEP-BY-STEP

1. Before your first coffee, fill the tank with fresh water and run two cycles with no pod in. This rinses the machine out and warms the internals.

2. Run one more cycle into your cup with no pod to pre-heat it, then tip the water out. A cold cup kills a hot shot.

3. Drop in an Intensity 14 pod and extract a short 40ml shot.

4. Froth your milk until smooth and pour. At Intensity 14 you can go up to 150ml and still taste the coffee.

PRO TIP

Descale every 3 months or every 200 cups. Limescale is what turns a hot machine into a lukewarm one, and our descaler takes five minutes.
