Have you come to find out more about the famous Cuppa Choc and how to use it? Well you’ve come to the right place, we’ve created this blog in hopes that by the end of it, you’ll have a few ideas on how to enjoy this little creation of ours!


Lets Give You The Run Down...

If you’re new to Urban Brew, let’s give you a run down. We’ve been including these complimentary chocolate wafer cups in all orders of over 50 pods for over a year now. We hand coat the wafer cups with dark compound chocolate ourselves and they are specially designed to hold a warm coffee or beverage. As if coffee couldn’t get any better, you’ll be left with a melted, chocolatey indulgent dessert and crunchy waffle to devour at the end!


Do you Remeber....

Remember that feeling you got when you were little and you heard the ice-cream truck coming? Well, that’s how we want you to feel when you hear the post man rock up with your parcel.

Alright, so now you know what this Cuppa Choc that we speak of is, it’s time to put it to good use! There are two options when it comes to making a coffee in your wafer cup. You can either extract your coffee directly into the cup, or extract into a jug and then transfer it. Let’s break it down for you:

Option 1

  1. Turn your machine on
  2. Make sure the water tank is full
  3. Place the wafer cup under the spout
  4. Insert a pod and use the short shot setting
  5. Froth some milk and add on top of the espresso
  6. Drink up and enjoy your Cuppa Choc!

Option 2

  1. Turn your machine on
  2. Make sure the water tank is full
  3. Place a jug under the spout
  4. Insert a pod and use the short shot setting
  5. Pour espresso into the Cuppa Choc
  6. Froth some milk and add on top of the espresso
  7. Drink up and enjoy your Cuppa Choc!

Sound pretty good, huh? Well let’s not stop there – we have plenty more ways of having fun and getting creative with our Cuppa Choc! You can simply scoop some ice-cream into it and take yourself back to your childhood days or extract a shot on top to make an Affogato. And for those out there who want something a little more daring, we recommend adding a shot of your favourite liquor to your affogato – try Baileys, Frangelico or Kahlua!

Is There Somthing I Shouldnt Do?

Now something we don’t recommend is making a long black in your Cuppa Choc. The boiling water will melt through rapidly and you might end up with a hot mess all over you – which is not how we want you to enjoy your wafer cup! Also please check your wafer cup, sometimes the ride from our factory to your kitchen can be a bit bumpy and cause cracks or minor damage. To play it safe, we recommend sitting your Cuppa Choc on a plate or in a bowel – just in case.

So there you have it! There will be absolutely no waste when having one of these little cups of goodness! As our pods are biodegradable, you can feel better about treating yourself to one of these little cups of goodness. Enjoy your Cuppa Choc!
