So, you have made your purchase and are wondering when you will receive it and where in the delivery process it is. Well, rest easy as we have made this blog and video to help you out.
Packing your order
Once you have made your order you should receive a confirmation email/ tax invoice. Our packing staff will receive your order and try and pack it within 24 hours. Weekends and Public Holidays will extend this time frame. For example, if you place your order at 6pm on Friday, the packing staff won’t pack your order until the following Monday morning. If a Public Holiday occurs on the Monday it will be packed on Tuesday morning. Due to COVID-19, there will also be further delays.
COVID-19 Update [15-04-2020]
Australia Post have been inundated with online orders and the expected delivery times may be delayed, due to COVID-19. Deliveries to non - metro areas, as well as all of Western Australia, Tasmania and Northern Territory are sometimes seeing quite large delays of up to 2 weeks. Please note that Australia Post tracking notifications are not going out in many cases.
Dispatching your order
Once your order has been packed, manifested and loaded onto the Australia Post truck you should be sent an email notifying you. Australia Post should also scan the parcel and start sending you tracking notifications. That being said Australia Post doesn’t scan around 40% of parcels. Therefore hundreds of parcels each day aren't scanned and you won’t receive any notifications until Australia Post scans it at a different sorting facility/distribution centre. Sometimes parcels are never scanned and will arrive with no notifications.
You will receive an email from us with the subject ‘Your Urban Brew order has been shipped’. This includes a Shippit tracking number for use on the Shippit website. If you go to www.Shippit.com you can select Track Your Package and enter this tracking number. Once you find your Shippit tracking page it will include the courier tracking number for Australia Post.
Once your package has been manifested in Shippit you should also start receiving tracking notification emails from them. The emails include Shippits estimate delivery time (which is sometimes off) and the courier tracking number for Australia Post. You can use the courier tracking number on Australia Posts tracking page. https://auspost.com.au/mypost/track/#/search This will give you the most updated information.
Delivery time Calculator
You can get an estimate of your delivery time by using Australia Posts postage calculator. https://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/calculate-postage-delivery-times/#/ Our postcode is 5009 and you can enter that into the From section and enter your postcode into the To section. The next page will give you Australia Posts estimate based on the type of shipping.
Due to COVID-19, there will be delays.
