For those following along with our journey at home, here at Urban Brew we’ve been in the biz of trialling and testing new home compostable pods. Here’s a lil update on what’s taking so long in our quest for home compostability!

I believe that coffee pods are better for the environment than traditional coffee machines, and that’s why I started Urban Brew just over five years ago.

Buckle up, Brew Crew, I’m about to tell you why less is more in the world of coffee pods!

At Urban Brew, we have a wide range of intensities that cater to everyone’s needs. Strong, weak, with milk or without, we’ve got just the caffeinated goods for you. In the process of defining our intensities, we also gave them personalities that helped to outline who they’re for, but most importantly: where they stand in the Urban Brew fam. We’re roaring and ready to spill the beans below!

With eco-friendly technology continuing to develop over the past few years, we currently use an Industrially Compostable pod. This pod is made from 100% biomass resin, which is a mixture of plant-based products. It is Industrial Compostable certified to European standards (pending Australian certification) and take 90 days to break down, in a industrial composting facility. 

As a first-time Urban Brewer, people often hit us with a bunch of questions, one of which being, “Do you guys do sample packs?”

In short, yes. But not in the way you expect.
